I woke up, at 6 am, to a sound louder than an orchestra; It was the client being extremely extra.

We need the deliverables by 11 am, get it done before 10:58 – he said. And I was left to make a choice between my career and my bed.

Cursing under my breath, I called up my resource, to bring him in the zone

I got the deliverables ready before time, crossing my fingers, hoping it doesn’t get revised this time

Before the mail could be sent, my phone rang loudly, flashing the name – Client!

‘Sorry to call you on such short notice. But let’s scrap the creative.’ – said the voice.

My blood boiled terribly, I ended up using all the A’s B’s and C’s in my vocabulary.

But I went on about my day, waiting to hit my bed. When I finally went home to lay down my heavy head,

My phone rang, and a voice squeaked – You know what? I like the deliverables, let’s keep it. We’ll tweak it a little more, shall we?

And that is when I threw my phone out of the window, left the fate to the one above.

And if you find my phone, please don’t return it to me at all, I’d rather be phoneless, but I refuse to take another call.
